Update

once again, I have not written in forever. I just thought I would give a brief update. I am now a Registered Nurse, and my husband and I will be staying put for atleast another year, we will hopefully start working on our master's degree's in the fall, yes, I know, a run on sentence :P I've been working on getting my CE credits done for next year, I currently have 6.2(of 24)! Whohoo! I have also been practicing. I really hope to get some gigs for the rest of the summer, and maybe play in an orchestra, I hope, I hope! So if you need a violinist for anything, let me know, I also have instrumental friends...so I can arrange for a string quartet, or other combination of instruments....

Counting Down

5 weeks left of school before graduation. 5 days left of clinicals.
So much to do!
I have a job interview on April 10th with the Clinical Nurse Manager of a NICU in North Carolina! The hospital modeled their NICU after the Dayton children's NICU, so the woman was really excited on the phone when I spoke with her.
Michael has two job fairs to go to that same weekend while we are in NC also!
I will be so excited if I can get a job in a NICU as a new grad! The NICU is really all I want to do, it is my passion! I believe the NICU in NC has a sort of fellowship program, which for the first year there is the nursing orientation along with additional classroom time, and they also arrange for mentors and extra support during the first year.
I'm so excited!

Long Time

It has been so long since the last post. School is going pretty well. Almost half way through the semester. I will be sad to leave the NICU on Tuesday. I love working with the babies. I'm not overly lookign forward to working with big people again, I don't knwo if I will remember how. :P
My class nominated me to play at the Nursing Pinning Ceremony at the end of the semester, so I will be practicing and getting ready for that. It made me feel really good that they wanted me to play again for them (I played at the nursing dedication ceremony 1 1/2 years ago). After I graduate from nursing school, I hope that I can start taking lessons again, hopefully join an orchestra, play in a quartet, and just get the chance for that side of me (music) to grow again. It will be so nice to not have homework all of the time, and work, and school, and everythign else.
